History
In 1985 when John Farnham released his hugely successful album 'Whispering Jack', and Neighbours the TV show was first screened on television, a small advertising agency opened its doors in a little rented office in Northrocks, Parramatta. Fast forward 25 years, John Farnham keeps coming out of retirement for farewell concerts, Neighbours has become one of television's longest running TV shows, and McKinnon Direct has become one of Sydney's longest operating local communication companies. Other 1985 highlights include:
- Capital Gains Tax introduced
- Hey Hey It's Saturday started broadcasting at 6.30pm on Saturdays
- Bob Hawke was still the Prime Minister
- New Coke formula launched (marketing disaster, replaced 3 months later with original Coke formula)
